Assignment for everyday:  Come to my room with a good attitude.

 

Things to get:  3-ring, one-inch binder

                          Spiral notebook

                          College or wide-ruled loose-leaf paper

                          Pencils and black pens

Overall Breakdown of Grading:

 

Preparedness, Class Participation, and Attitude - 10%

Special Home Projects - Grades will be included in portfolios or summative assessments

Portfolio Assessment (Class work and homework) - 40%

Summative Assessments (Tests, formal papers, projects, and presentations) – 50%

 

Rules:  Be on time. Tardiness will be counted.

             Be prepared for class everyday (books, notebook, writing utensils, etc.).

             Be courteous to teacher and peers.

             Have a good attitude.

            

 

Discipline:  Teacher-student conference

                     Extra assignment of teacher’s choice

                     Teacher-parent conference

                     Office

 

 

* All policies set by the St. Clair County Board of Education will be enforced. 

 

Policies related to class:

Attendance Policy – This class will follow the attendance policy set forth by the St. Clair County Board of Education.  Students are responsible for obtaining any work missed in this class due to absence or tardiness.  If a student is suspended for any reason, they will not be allowed to make up any missed work.

 

Make-up tests – I will make myself available on Monday afternoons at 3:00 for make-up tests.  You should make arrangements to stay during this time.  It is YOUR responsibility to make-up a missed test.

 

Academic Dishonesty – Dishonesty/cheating is unacceptable behavior.  Plagiarism or copying information and using it as your own are also unacceptable.  If any of these rules are broken the St. Clair County Code of Conduct Policies will be followed.
